About Us

Djookanka-Sisters is a proudly Aboriginal Owned company by two Noongar Sisters Dannielle and Naomi Nelson.

Djookanka-Sisters was just a dream we both had back in 2017 with both of us wanting to purchase some activewear with Aboriginal artwork but found they were really expensive and not a lot out there. As sisters our name fit us perfect Djookanka meaning Sisters in noongar language.

In 2020 Dannielle who is the artist of Djookanka-Sister designed our first piece of beautiful artwork, then the hard work of getting a supplier we were both happy with – to finally launching our business it was all finally happening.

Our goal is to bring our Aboriginal culture through art onto clothing so everyone can enjoy. Our aim is to collaborate with up and coming artists to showcase there amazing talents.

As our business has grown over the years we have had the privilege to work with Schools, Businesses and individuals to create artwork/uniforms for everyone to enjoy.

If you would like more information of what we can offer please don’t hesitate to email us at djookankaenquiries@outlook.com
